I am a 55 year old computer technician at a small university who just happens
to love writing. I have stories trapped within and I just have to get them
down on paper.
I was inspired to finally take the time to devote to writing my stories
down after having taken a couple of creative writing courses while
earning my degree in history.
Further inspired by my wife, who also happens to patiently review and edit
my meanderings.
We hope you find the stories as interesting to read as I did writing and
editing them.
I was recently inspired by reading something Debbie Macomber (an excellent author, by the way)
wrote about her work. She has a mission statement, and while I don't have a mission
statement per se, I was inspired to think about what I wanted from my work...
Was it fame?
Was it fortune?
The answer to both of these has turned out to be a resounding "NO!"
What I want is to convey the stories trapped in my head and heart, but from those
stories must always come first these things:
1) The love of Christ and who He is must come out of the words.
2) The reality of Christianity as compared to the impaired world view.
Or even how it is not as what is presented by some believers, unfortunately.
3) A life lesson.
4) A Christian view of the issues.
5) An inability of the reader to put the work down, they would want to see how the story ends.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 (NIV)
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.
And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for
them and was raised again.
